Is there a grace period or transition period for GPSR?

No, there is no grace period. GPSR has applied since 13 December 2024 directly and in full across all EU Member States. There was a transition period until then, but it has now expired. If you are not yet GPSR-compliant, you cannot expect regulatory leniency — cease-and-desist letters and fines come without warning. However, authorities are stepping up controls gradually: intensified market surveillance typically begins in waves from 2024/2025 onwards. This does not mean you can delay, but rather that you should take action now.
