Is there a grace period or transition period for the GPSR?

No, there is no grace period. The GPSR has applied directly and fully in all EU member states since 13 December 2024. There was a transition period until then, but that has expired. If you are not GPSR-compliant today, you cannot rely on regulatory forbearance — warning notices and fines are issued without warning. However, regulators are ramping up their inspections in stages: more intensive market surveillance typically begins in waves from 2024/2025. This does not mean you can wait, but that you should act now.
