Who checks and enforces whether you are registered?

ZSVR centrally manages and checks the packaging register. ZSVR also works with other authorities (customs, trade supervision). In addition to this regulatory enforcement, marketplaces such as Amazon and eBay increasingly monitor their sellers' LUCID registration themselves. This means you cannot simply hope no one ever catches you — there are multiple layers of oversight. Regulatory checks are random, but with over 20,000 proceedings initiated per year the probability of being checked is real. Marketplace monitoring is even proactive: if your registration lapses the marketplace can suspend your account before any regulatory penalty arrives.
