What changes for UK sellers with the European Fulfillment Network (EFN)?

The European Fulfillment Network allows you to serve multiple European marketplaces from a single Amazon warehouse — but for a UK-based seller, every order from Germany automatically crosses the customs border that has existed since 2021. This means the same obligations apply to each shipment as for direct shipping: EORI number, customs declaration, possible import VAT from €150 goods value, and VAT and EPR registration in Germany. Whilst Amazon EU S.à r.l. has handled the contractual side of 'Selling on Amazon' and 'Fulfilled by Amazon' since 1 August 2024, customs and product registration remain entirely your responsibility as the seller.
