What happens if my authorised representative ends the engagement?

The written engagement has a minimum term of 3 months. After this period, either party can terminate. If your authorised representative terminates, you must act quickly: you need a new authorised representative before the notice period expires. Otherwise, you lose your WEEE registration number or your products are no longer legally listed in Germany. A gap can result in inspections and fines.
